How to Run Android Apps on Windows 8/8.1/10 and Mac

There still live people who hadn’t had an android device yet into their hands but badly wanted one. Reasons apart, there is a solution called BlueStacks Player that can be installed on your Windows or Mac computer to run Android Apps.

What is BlueStacks Player?

BlueStacks player is an android emulator software that helps to run Android apps on computers by creating a necessary environment on our computers.

BlueStacks player was initially launched back in 2011 and has been evolved with times. We can play the apps without any lag in full screen on our PCs and MACs easily.

Downloading and Installing BlueStacks

To get the BlueStacks on your computer, go to bluestacks.com and download the app player compatible with your operating system.

Double-click on the file to start the installation wizard.

Wait till the installation gets over.

When it’s done, it opens like a new android phone and you need to set it up for the first time like as you do it on a real android device.

After the setup is over, you will be shown a different screen with some pre-installed apps and some recommendations. It may not look like a real android phone but believe me, it works best while you are running.

Note: There available many other android emulators which install crapware on our computers along with the emulator, that too without our consent. BlueStacks is best at managing crapware so far. So better to go for it.

Searching, Downloading and Installing Android Apps

Searching is as same as searching for Android apps in Google Play store on a real android device. Though it might give you an odd visual experience, it is the Google Play store after all.

To search, download and install android apps, run BlueStacks Player and click on Search.

Type-in to search for the apps you wanted to install.

Click on the apps shown in the search results to open them in Google Play.

Click on Install to start downloading and installation on BlueStacks.
 
Go to Home Screen and click on All Apps and find your app in the installed apps list. Click on it to run and use it as you wanted to use it on a real android device.
