Xiaomi Mi3 was launched in India recently with a lot of great specifications and expectations. People waited badly for this ‘Chinese Apple’ smart phone to release into markets in India after the announcement in the launch. This device was made available through ecommerce stores only as to cash in the ecommerce trend in India.
This idea seems not worked as easily as the company heads have thought it would be. The launch in ecommerce stores might have flooded pre-orders but the second side of the coin flipped against them. It started to build out bad reputation and the orders were started to fell down and cancelled.
Some kind of bad user experience hoaxes dropped the market trend of Xiaomi Mi3. The reasons why people started to hate Xiaomi Mi3 were figured out and I give your some example of the hoaxes below.
Because it has issue with SIM card slot
Xiaomi Mi3 somehow fallen into the hoax of non-working SIM card slot. The SIM card being the first priority of mobile phones cannot be made faulty. Xiaomi heads are condemning the hoax and assures that they have tested each and every handset keenly before shipping into India.
By the fact, no company would like to debut badly into market. A company like Xiaomi, being known as the top mobile brand in China cannot do it. This might be the review of the one of the bad luckiest person who have got the faulty piece by fault those who haven’t used smart phones with SIM slot like one Xiaomi had.
Because it has cheap hardware
Xiaomi Mi3 is said to have equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 8274AB quad-core processor and has got 2GB RAM. It should probably run applications without any lag even unexpectedly. Mi3 users complained about lag in its UI transitions compared to other smart phones.
Update: Xiaomi comes with great hardware. It has got the similar hardware a smart phone of 45k in India would have. Low price doesn’t mean cheap hardware. More over the lag in UI is not because of the hardware it is configured with. Take a look at the comparison table of Mi3 with other leading brands.
Because it’s got bad camera
Yeah! the camera is a essential limb of the today’s smart phone. Users would not like to compromise with bad camera smart phones. So many handsets were rejected in the past just because of having bad camera. The camera of Xiaomi Mi3 has very slow sensor in words of the users.
Update: Imaging is good with Mi3 but you could experience a bit lag while using camera options.
Because it has no removable battery
Removable battery would not have been concerned if sufficient number of accessible service centers are made available in the country. There are only 30+ service centers currently accessible in India for now, that too they are available in major cities only. So battery changing for this device is an adventurous tour for a guy who lives in a small town.
Because its memory cannot be expanded
All other handsets with 16GB and 32GB are supporting external SD cards with support of 2TB like as LG G3. As it is so called ‘Apple of China’, this lack of memory expandability seems like doing justice for the name of fame. May be because Xiaomi is new to Indian market, the company heads should learn about Indian user requirements.
Because it is ‘China phone’
Yes! it might seem funny and LOL thing for you, but it is true that people still remember the ‘China goods’ joke. They are not in a condition to believe in Chinese goods any more. More over, they started teasing Mi3 cry outs on the internet.
Update: The days are gone when you see cheap low end phone from China. Let’s not forget many of the well-known brands are also manufactured in China, including Apple and Micromax. Xiaomi is manufactured by Foxconn (the company that manufactures Apple handsets) and Inventec, another reputed manufacturer.
Because everyone says it’s faulty
People are getting smarter these days. They are becoming that much smarter to believe a couple of false reviews on the internet and decide what to buy. Checking out for reviews on the internet is a good thing. I do it, you do it even, but we should be able to aggregate the facts by the end. If you can’t there is no point of crying on the goods after buying checking out reviews.
Final words
It might be hard to debut for some companies into new markets. In fact the reason behind the idea of expanding the market of their products is the success they have tasted already in one.
No phone is perfect by the way, but that doesn’t mean every phone is faulty in someway. What I mean is, no product can get 100% success in its first release. It is what happened with Windows 8, Samsung S4, Samsung S5, HTC, Apple 5C and many more.
Xiaomi is named one of the best smart phone companies in the world. The company believed so and tend to release its products in India. Disregarding the historical ‘China-phone’ thoughts, it has got great specifications and most of the people who bought it are happy and giving 10 on 10 after using it for a week. It might not the all time to decide future for a device but the buyers who are happy with it should also be considered. Don’t forget about the market competition among smart phone companies before you decide.
If you got a faulty Xiaomi, ecommerce sites like Flipkart are giving a quick replacement. Avail the offer and get a right one. If you are looking to buy a new one, wait until it releases in all parts of the country and then assess the reviews.
Have you got Mi3? or planning to buy one? share a bite with this Chinese Apple in comments.
