The new era of superheroes has changed. The superheroes who have been saving us from aliens, bad mutants and psychotic criminals have become villains, carrying dreadful viruses on to computers all over the world. McAfee has released a list of toxic superheroes of 2014 in which Superman sits on the top.
As the superheroes we are very fond of are also available in different digital formats, the search for them on the internet has steadily increased. This triggered some bad fumes in hackers brains and they have started to spread malware, adware, phishing links and another kind of viruses to those who try to access them.
The search queries that are targeted by hackers regarding superman are as follows: “superman”, “superman and free torrent download”, “superman and watch”, “superman and free app” and “superman and online”. These search queries yield 16.5% chance of getting landed on the harmful website that is tested positive for spreading adware, malware, viruses, spyware, spam, phishing and another kind of malware.
According to the research done by McAfee, the following is the top list of superheroes mostly searched for and that are carrying dreadful viruses on to computers through the internet.

7. Black Widow

Don’t tell Captain America as he would surely cry out loud for being dominated by a black widow.
