Design
The design of the phone is the first change that you are going to observe when you compare it with the S5. There are no major changes made to S5 and though they are quite good. The ‘menu’, ‘back’ and ‘options’ buttons are moved on to the screen in S5 plus.
The back panel of S5 plus is somewhat flat compared to S5. The back cover design has got a lot of change regarding the position of the company’s logo, camera, flash and speaker.
The volume control and the power buttons are swapped their positions in S5 plus.
What makes it ‘New’
There is a little ‘new’ factor in the Titanium S5 plus as it is an upgrade of the old S5. We’ve already went through the design issues above and lets go with the total upgrades it has came up with.
Business features like outlook emails and document viewer comes along with the office suite. It is an upgrade of the business features for the phone.
Operating system of the phone is upgraded to Android 4.2 jellybean. This is not that much great upgrade as people now-a-days looking for the Android 4.3 and Android 4.4 KitKat. I hope it is upgradable.
The 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Quardcore processor is upgraded to 1.3GHz Quardcore. This is also not such a great upgrade yet its good to have 1.3 GHz processor in budget phones.
The traditional 5 inch IPS display is continued with added features of multi-touch, OnCell IPS display technology and touch and swipe along with the default pinch-to-zoom that you can find on the major Android devices.
Regarding the memory, no upgrades were made to the RAM, ROM and expandability of the external memory. The same 1 GB RAM and 4 GB ROM along with the 1.4 GB internal memory and 32GB expandability are continued in S5 plus.
The network connectivity upgrade is great. The 3G network connectivity with 21 Mbps HSDPA allows to access internet three times faster than in older S5.
Titanium S5 plus comes up with a few new pre-installed apps. This issue can be ignored as we can download and install new apps in the market with simple click on play store. People who don’t use data always might want to take this issue disappointing.

Conclusion
After seeing all the minor upgrades, no one would actually want to buy it. But if you come to know about the prices, you would opt out for Titanium S5 plus. Karbonn Titanium S5 plus is available for around Rs. 9,600 and older Titanium S5 for around Rs. 10,000. The amount of four or five hundred rupees might not be an issue for the costlier phones but it means something for the budget phones. One can afford to buy some memory with that savings.Feel free to share your thoughts about Karbonn Titanium S5 plus in the comments section below.
