How to cut video in VLC media player

VLC media player is a play tool like thing for people using it. With very basic controls and very understanding interface it makes it mark unique among the rest. 

 

VLC has some unseen features that people don’t observe while using it. When the favorite part of the video or music, don’t look for software that cut that particular part of media. There is no need to find other software. VLC provides the record button with which we can cut our media. Here is how to cut the media using VLC,

Step 1: Open the VLC player.

Step 2: Go to the ‘View’ tab.

Step 3: Make sure that the ‘Advanced Controls’ is ticked.

Step 4: Then you can find the ‘Advanced controls’ appear.

Step 5: The first option, square with the ball in it is the record button we use here.


Step 6: Open the media you wanted to cut by clicking on the Media> Open file or just press Ctrl+O.

Step 7: Pull the cursor to where ever you wanted it to be and press the record button(that looks red when the video is opened).

Step 8: Press the record button again to stop recording. The recorded clip can be found in ‘my videos’
